The behavioral lever, with force perturbation, measures the lever position and can apply a programmable force that will move the lever out of the reward zone. It is meant to be used in conjuncture with an automatic home cage system that already delivers water trough a water spout for reward. Reward or punition can be controlled trough a 5V TTL interface or through a SERIAL interface. The system can also be used in a stand-alone configuration with a stereotaxic head restrainer and a water delivery pump at extra cost. The lever can also be used with our automatic home cage system.
